A picture says more than thousand words..BBC caught our (yes I am even embarrassed to admit "our") defense minister, Amir Peretz inspection troops in the Golan Heights with the newly installed Army Chief-of Staff, Gabi Ashkenazi.

According to the BBC photographer, Peretz gazed through the capped binoculars three times, nodding as Ashkenazi explained what he was looking at. With a defense minister like this, who needs enemies? This photograph alone should be enough to kick this clown of a defense minister out of office and back to where he belongs. Selling tomatoes in the shuk (market).

Perhaps this picture illustrates perhaps better than anything else, perhaps one of the biggest problems and dangers with decision makers, namely the weakness of not being able to admit what they don’t see, what they don’t know, and the inability to admit mistakes.

If this was the vision our government had when they went to war , then G-d help us..

Amir Peretz, didn’t they teach you in school to ask other people for help when you don’t understand?

Thanks Jacob for making me laugh and get angry at the same time..
